# HITL style pack — design analysis

Created 2026-10-28. Direction: **Creative Mode with Human in the Loop's palette and identity**, following the user's preference during this task.

## What was reviewed

All twelve downloaded `FRAME.md` specifications were compared for type, surface, color, hierarchy, shape, density, and aspect-ratio behavior. Their original cover showcases were rendered side by side. The comparison informed the choices below; it is a design assessment, not a ranking supplied by Hyperframes.

| Pack | Useful quality | Decision for HITL |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Biennale Yellow | Strong editorial hierarchy and generous paper | Keep the breathing room; its serif/yellow identity would pull away from HITL. |
| BlockFrame | Bold type and visible structural borders | Useful impact, with less decorative tilting and candy color for this show. |
| Blue Professional | A single clear blue accent and readable information | Borrow color restraint; the consulting presentation treatment is quieter than the desired voice. |
| Bold Poster | Confident headline scale | Its vintage display serif and red palette are a different personality. |
| Broadside | Clear opinion and declarative type | Useful clarity; a permanent orange/black protest register would make too many topics feel confrontational. |
| Capsule | Friendly containers and editorial variety | Pill geometry and many candy accents are a weaker match to HITL's technical/monospaced identity. |
| Cartesian | Careful spacing and calm explanation | Use restraint in information frames; its hairline/serif system is too delicate for the main direction. |
| Cobalt Grid | Technical structure and one ink color | Useful for source/diagram thinking; continuous grid texture would compete with the show's engraved logo. |
| Coral | Clear color regions and strong topic changes | Borrow the purposeful surface change; condensed magazine type and coral are not the chosen identity. |
| **Creative Mode** | **Poster headlines, square geometry, one hard shadow, clear information blocks** | **Primary structural influence. Replace its four accents with HITL indigo; retain HITL labels, body type, and logo.** |
| Daisy Days | Approachable, bright explanation | The playful illustration language is less suitable for the show's evidence and opinion format. |
| Editorial Forest | A quote gets room to breathe | Borrow the quiet opinion frame; its literary green/pink serif palette is a different brand. |

## Verified brand evidence

The live [podcast website](https://podcast.vallyseed.com/) was captured successfully with Hyperframes on 2026-10-28 (HTTP 200, `ok: true`). The rendered hero and computed styles, rather than unrelated global theme variables, established:

| Role | Observed value | Pack decision |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Main light surface | `#FAF7F2` | Primary paper |
| Podcast text | `#1A1515` | Primary ink |
| Link/accent | `#5059FF` | One chromatic accent |
| Heading/display | Space Mono, 700 | Preserve for identity/labels; add Archivo Black for the Creative Mode display treatment |
| Body | Space Grotesk, 400 | Preserve for explanations/captions |
| Logo | Complete human, loop, and H/L emblem | Use the matching high-resolution vault master unchanged |

The website includes other VallySeed-wide font and dark-theme definitions. They are not the podcast hero's computed visual system. Some captured assets were omitted by the capture budget; the logo and fonts needed here were present and verified. Motion-catalog extraction timed out, so no claim about the site's animation behavior informs this pack.

The show's [Descript Editing Guidelines](../../../Human%20in%20the%20Loop/Descript%20Editing%20Guidelines.md) reinforce cream, blue-violet, dark copy, a monospaced voice, the complete logo, and lowercase `vallyseed.com` on branded intro/outro cards. The local brand notes specify cream/ink/indigo and the VallySeed mark on the logo's shorts. Those sources informed continuity. This is a new Hyperframes look, with its own display and border proposal.

## What changes from Creative Mode

- The four-accent palette becomes cream, ink, and electric indigo, with one subtle indigo tint for grouped information.
- JetBrains Mono labels become the site's Space Mono. Space Grotesk is retained and matches the podcast body family.
- Archivo Black stays as a proposed display addition. This makes the influence visible without mislabeling it as the website's current typography.
- Decorative stamps/circles make room for the actual complete HITL logo and meaningful diagram nodes.
- The hard shadow is spent once per frame. Comparison and quote frames are calmer so explanation and evidence remain legible.
- Portrait tables become stacked comparisons. Diagram arrows rotate with the reading direction; nothing becomes a scrolling table or a blind landscape crop.

## Copy and asset provenance

The showcase's editorial prompts and mechanism diagram are illustrative design copy, not a transcript or a product-performance claim. The short Matt Wozniak quote is taken from the Episode 28 section of the podcast homepage; the pack preserves its wording and attribution. Counts such as `01 / 08` are frame navigation only.

The high-resolution logo master is `10 Content Engine/Human in the Loop/Brand/hitl-logo-vallyseed-shorts.png` in this vault. It is copied byte-for-byte, with its complete artwork and VallySeed mark preserved. The v1.0 frame-only pack generated no new logo or host likeness. In v1.1, the user explicitly chose individually regenerated expression cutouts from the existing host sheets; the original artwork is preserved.

Space Mono and Space Grotesk font files came from the successful website capture. Archivo Black came from `@fontsource/archivo-black` version 5.3.0. The four local font binaries and their open font licenses are included. `assets/SOURCES.json` records paths, origin URLs, and file checksums.

## Review scope

This first version demonstrates eight treatments in three aspect ratios. Browser QA covers loaded fonts, local asset requests, text boundaries, responsive page width, ratio controls, and the enlarged-frame dialog. The artifact is a static style pack and visual reference. Timed animation, voiceover, music, and final platform-specific caption timing are verified separately when a real video is produced.

## v1.1 — character module

The user's Character Library was inspected visually, including the 21-expression and 18-pose review boards for each host. The canonical expression inventory is 15 front-facing moods plus six three-quarter-right variants per host. File names and prompts did not always match visible contents: Oscar's six extra front expressions are taken from `oscar_expression_sheet_v1.png`, which contains facepalm and explaining; the similarly named front 3x2 sheet is an alternate six-expression set. The mapping follows the visible artwork.

The user selected regenerated clean cutouts. Built-in image_gen was used once per expression, with the source cell and a cleaned neutral consistency reference. Each PNG is independently addressable; prompts and provenance are kept under the source Character Library's `hyperframes/` directory. These are reviewed derivatives, not a claim of host-approved likeness or rig-ready facial parts.

The full-body poses are original references with inherited draft status. The Matt marker/computer defects remain flagged and are excluded from default examples. The existing experimental rig and mouth atlases are excluded from automatic lip sync.
